[p r o j e c t s] Low Composite Deck

Project:

The project rebuilt a hazardous wooden deck that had become unsightly due to its deterioration. It was located in a low-sunlight area, which likely contributed to its decay.

A composite deck was recommended to extend the lifespan and reduce future maintenance such as staining and cleaning. Joist tape was also utilized across all horizontal frame surfaces to slow moisture ingress and prevent premature rot.

Due to the low height of the deck, guardrails were not required, improving sightlines of the garden and giving it a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere.

Design Changes: Initial consultations documented the clients’ requested design changes, which were then implemented to improve functionality and aesthetics.
