FAQs

How do I schedule a service?

1

Contact me via phone, email, text, or the online booking form. Provide a brief description of the work and any details necessary; I always try to respond within 24 hours.

What information should I have ready before the appointment?

2

The address, a clear description of the issue, any relevant photos, and access instructions (e.g., gate codes or pet considerations) are all helpful to get started on the process.

How are estimates calculated?

3

Estimates are based on labor time, material costs, and if any special equipment is needed. I provide a written quote before any work begins, and there are no hidden fees.

What if additional problems are discovered after work starts?

4

You will be informed immediately, with the issue being carefully explained to you, and an updated estimate will then be provided. Work will only continue after you approve the changes.

Do I need to be home during the repair?

5

Not necessarily. As long as you are comfortable with it and I have safe access to the work area and any required keys or codes, you can be elsewhere. I’ll keep you updated on the progress.

Are you licensed and insured?

6

Yes. I am licensed to operate across central vancouver island and carry general liability insurance to protect your home and property.

What payment methods do you accept?

7

I utilize the Square payments system with my business, which accepts all major credit cards, and debit cards for convenience. You can use this system electronically through your computer or phone, or in person using my square payment terminal. Additionally, if you prefer, I also accept etransfers cash or cheques. Payment is due upon completion of work unless a payment plan has been arranged beforehand.

How long will the project take?

8

Duration varies by scope. Small jobs (e.g., gate repair) may be finished in a few hours, while larger projects (e.g., decks) can take several days or weeks. I give an estimated timeline in the quote.

Do you provide a warranty on your work?

9

All labor is backed by a 1 year warranty; materials are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. I’ll address any issues that arise within that period at no extra charge.

What steps do you take to protect my home during the job?

10

I use drop cloths, protective pads, and seal off work areas to prevent dust and damage. After completion, I clean up all debris and leave the space tidy.

Can I feed the repair bear?

11

Absolutely. Treats are always appreciated, but not necessary.
